Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (8-hour day shift)
Contract: 313 weeks
 

Position Overview

• Provide speech and language services to students with IEPs.
• Work primarily through a push-in/classroom integration model rather than 1:1 services.
• Manage a higher-end caseload, potentially reaching approximately 70 students during staffing shortages.
• Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials based on individualized student objectives.
• Evaluate students in speech and language as determined by the MET team.
• Implement communication goals outlined in student IEPs.
• Serve as the SLP service coordinator for MET and IEP meetings.
• Potentially supervise SLPAs depending on caseload and staffing.
• Coach classroom staff and SLPAs on implementing speech and communication goals.
• Support staff and students using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
• Support classroom curriculum related to language acquisition.
• Consult with teachers, parents, school personnel, and outside professionals.
• Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior intervention strategies.
• Maintain required paperwork and documentation.
• Monitor student growth and proficiency toward IEP goals.
• Complete required Medicaid billing.
• Participate in annual and ongoing staff training.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
