Job Title: Certified Wound Care Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Clinic

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona 86504
Shift: Days | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends or Holidays
Contract: 13 Weeks
Specialty: Wound Care / Ostomy Care

Mandatory Qualifications for this Job

Active Arizona RN License or applicable Compact RN License
Mandatory Wound Care Certification
Minimum 3 years of recent wound care experience
Current AHA BLS Certification
ACLS Certification preferred
Experience with acute and chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, draining wounds, and fistulas

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and manage acute and chronic wounds
Provide comprehensive wound and ostomy care
Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
Treat pressure ulcers, draining wounds, and fistulas
Evaluate wound healing and modify care plans as needed
Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy management
Recommend appropriate wound care supplies and equipment
Monitor patients for infection and wound complications
Document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Follow infection control, patient safety, and evidence-based wound care practices
Promote optimal healing, comfort, and quality of life

This role requires a mandatory Wound Care Certification and a minimum of 3 years of recent wound care experience. Candidates must have an active Arizona RN or Compact RN License and current AHA BLS certification. Experience with acute/chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, ostomies, draining wounds, and fistulas is required. ACLS is preferred. This is a 13-week, Monday–Friday day shift opportunity with no weekends or holidays.
