Description

Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Med-Surg Telemetry) Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 48 Hours Per Week (Block Scheduling Available)
  • Weekend Protocol: Every other weekend required.
  • On-Call Protocol: No on-call requirement.
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract (08/31/2026 start date) | 1 Open Position
  • Radius & RTO Limit: No local candidates accepted (permanent residence must be >50 miles from facility). Maximum pre-approved time off (RTO) allowed is 7 days.
  • Orientation: 12 Unit Orientation Hours (16 Hours) - paid.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1+ year of clinical RN experience, with recent PCU / Intermediate Care (IMC) experience within the last 3 years mandatory.
    • Note: Strong Med-Surg / Telemetry candidates possessing all required clinical skills may be screened. First-time travel nurses are accepted.
  • Pediatric Care Screening: Call out any pediatric clinical experience during screening. Travelers will not be assigned rare pediatric patients unless seasoned/experienced.
  • EMR & Systems Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical charting experience in Epic EMR, Pyxis medication dispensers, and SBAR communication protocols.
  • Licensure Requirements: Active New York State RN License.
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Preferred Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation).
