Location: Easton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights, 4x12s (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours: 36 or 48 Hours Accepted
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Required as Scheduled
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse with strong cardiac monitoring experience who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Monitor patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry.
• Interpret EKG rhythms and report any changes in patient condition.
• Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, and respiratory status.
• Respond appropriately to cardiac events and emergent situations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform diagnostic testing and monitor laboratory results.
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education related to cardiac conditions and ongoing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards.
• Promote a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.

Unit Details

• Specialty: Telemetry
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Floating: Required within specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed
• On-Call: Not Required
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Maryland RN License required.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
• CPI Certification required (completed during onboarding).

Additional Qualifications

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and facility requirements.

Schedule Requirements

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 4x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating required as needed
• No on-call requirement
