Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 3x12s
Schedule: Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Floating: Required
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Patient Population: Adults, age 18+

Job Requirements

• Must have 2+ years of recent IMCU/PCU experience
• Travel nursing experience required and must be documented on resume
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active NY RN license required
• All RN licenses must be verified through Nursys
• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission
• Current driver's license with address matching candidate demographics
• Skills checklist must match the specialty
• Local candidates accepted: Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility

Unit Details

The 64-bed IMCU provides intermediate-level care for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The unit includes 15 designated Neuro beds and manages a diverse patient population across multiple specialties.

Common Diagnoses/Patient Conditions:

• Neurological conditions
• Cardiac conditions
• Trauma
• COPD and other respiratory conditions
• DKA
• Sepsis
• MI
• CV step-down patients
• Post-operative patients

Specialty Equipment & Clinical Experience

Candidates should be comfortable caring for patients requiring:

• Temporary pacemakers
• Chest tubes
• Arterial lines (A-lines)
• BiPAP
• Neptune Vapo
• Mechanical ventilation

Ventilator Experience: Chronic ventilator patients may be cared for on the unit when they are unable to wean. Respiratory Therapy will assist with ventilator management.

Additional Expectations

The RN must be comfortable working in a high-acuity IMCU environment, managing complex cardiac, neurological, respiratory, trauma, and post-operative patients, and floating to other appropriate units as required.
