Shift & Position Details

• Shift Time: Days (12-hour shifts, 4-week schedules)
• Position Type: Contract
• Charting System: Cerner Power Chart Maternity (EFM System: Fetalink)
• Scrubs: Hospital-laundered scrubs provided

Unit Details & Ratios

• Unit Type: Level II Maternity LDRP unit (down to 32 weeks GA)
• Unit Capacity: 16 LDRPs, 2 OB OR suites, and 6 triage rooms (~1,000 births per year)
• Staffing Ratios: Follows AWHONN guidelines
• Support Staff: OB techs, front desk scheduler, charge nurse, and house supervisor available

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certifications Required: BLS and current EFM certification (AWHONN preferred)
• Key Skills & Experience: EFM interpretation, SVEs, IV starts, managing Magnesium Sulfate, and titrating Pitocin
• Distance & Employment Rule: 50-mile radius rule enforced; candidates cannot have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year.

Orientation & Compliance Highlights

• Day 1 Testing: Mandatory pass/fail test on sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on the first day of orientation.
