General Information

• Beds: 56
• PCU RN: Minimum Experience: 1 year – Please let CRT know if offer details if candidate has less than 1.5 years of experience – they will need to send profile to manager for approval
• Tele RN: Minimum Experience: 1 year – Please let CRT know if offer details if candidate has less than 1.5 years of experience – they will need to send profile to manager for approval
• Will you accept a first-time traveler?
• RN: Yes, if greater than 2 years’ experience
• Patient Ratios:
  • RN:
    • PCU/Tele - 1:4 (Days & Nights)
    • Med/Surg – 1:5 (Days & Nights)
  • CNA: 1:8 (Days & Nights)
• Required Certifications:
  • RN:
    • (PCU & Tele): BLS, ACLS
  • LPN: BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • CNA: certified CNA, BLS is not required (per NM)
• Required Education:
  • Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing;  Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Skills required:
  • If traveler has experience outside of this specialty – please include this is your offer details
    • ICU RN qualified to float to ED
    • PCU RN qualified to float to ICU
• PCU RN: cardiac and vasoactive drip titration – please request approval to offer without this experience, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, insulin drips - both DKA and non-DKA, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance

  • Could be expected to precept students
  • Audits are done monthly for Pre/Post Pain Scoring – must meet 90% compliance
