CVICU RN – Travel Only
Location: Quincy, Illinois
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 or 48/week
Shifts: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Pay: $2,632/week (36 hrs) or $3,430/week (48 hrs)
Role Overview
Join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Blessing Hospital caring for critically ill cardiac patients. This position is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with floating requirements and a 1:2 patient ratio.
Required Experience
- 2+ years recent, consecutive CVICU experience required
- Manager requires a minimum of 24 months CVICU experience
- Experience caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Floating required during assignment
Requirements
- Illinois RN License (temporary IL license accepted with proof of permanent license application)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS required (may be completed during onboarding)
- COVID vaccination or declination
- Resume
- Nursys verification
- Completed references form
- Skills checklist
- Interview availability
- RTO submission required
Additional Details
- Every other weekend required
- Friday-Sunday schedule preferred but not required
- Block scheduling permitted
- Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Charting system: Epic
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Phone interview with nurse manager required
- Fast feedback, typically same day after resume review
- Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract
- Uniform color: Black scrubs
- Travel candidates must reside 50+ miles from facility
- Weekly stipends included: $770 housing + $476 meals & incidentals
