Description
✨ Travel RN – Special Care Nursery (SCN) | Concord Hospital
🌙 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
⏱️ Schedule: 12-hour shifts
📅 Contract: 13 weeks
👩⚕️ Experience Required
3–4 years of nursing experience
Minimum 2 years NICU or Level II SCN experience
Previous NICU/SCN experience required
Postpartum experience strongly preferred
Cerner experience preferred, but not required
🍼 About the Unit
Concord Hospital's 6-bed Special Care Nursery is integrated with an 18-bed LDRP. The SCN cares for infants 32 weeks and above, with an average census of 2–5 neonates.
⭐ Key Skills
Attend vaginal and C-section deliveries
Assist with newborn stabilization
Start neonatal IVs
Care for infants on CPAP
Tube feedings & grower/feeders
Surfactant administration via LMA when appropriate
ESC management for neonatal withdrawal/substance exposure
🔄 Floating
Travelers may float to Postpartum or Pediatrics when needed. Appropriate experience is preferred; otherwise, travelers may assist as helping hands. Floating is not expected to be frequent.
