Required Certifications-BLS
Common Cases: Scleral buckle, vitrectomy, corneal transplants, Cataracts, minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization procedures, spinal cord stimulators, ENT procedures, dental
Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years minimum experience as ORT. 

Must have experience in ophthalmology. 

Must have experience in ophthalmology (need to at least perform cataract and cornea independently). 

Must be able to scrub as well as circulate ambulatory surgery procedures.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes, but not in the One Day Surgery Building
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling Block scheduling) No self scheduling. 

Shift start time is 0645am until 1515 but will be scheuded late shifts to complete any cases not complete.
Weeknight/Call Requirements: Required a minimum of 1 weekday call shift per week, call respone 30 minutes
Weekend/Call Requirements: Required up to every other weekend of call, 30 minute response
Holiday/Call Requirements: Required to rotate call, 30 minute response
What is call response time 30 minutes
Floating Requirements: Could be required to float to other surgical departments
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs will be provided
Unit/Department specific orientation: Hospital orientation and then will orient with staff in ODS

Shift Notes:Day shift position Monday-Friday. Will be scheduled 8 hour shifts, but may have to stay late after 3pm until cases finish. Call may be required for weekends and after hours.
