UNIT:  CATH LAB MGR
CLINICAL INTERVIEW

Unit Information:
Beds: 6 Cath Labs, 3 EP, 21 bed pre/post op unit
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years Cath Lab or EP (prefer both)
CN, ANM or NM background of at least 6 months
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

Required License, National Certification, Certs:  BLS, ACLS, CPI provided
Masters is a plus will be needed if transitioning to Permanent position

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Hemodynamic System: McKesson
Unit specific equipment: C-Arms GE and Siemens

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: 
Adult patients, 20-25 cases a day, plus add on cases
10-15 STEMIs a month
Staff covers UofL university and Jewish/Heart
Shift coordination for both sites

Skills required: Communication between the different areas, multitasking, able to jump into lab if needed, review scheduling, physician communication

Floating: Between Jewish and University, walkable

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Saturday team for emergency call
On call? If so, what is that schedule? Phone tree call, training will be provided, shared responsibility
Holiday Expectations: available for problem solving calls with team and providers
RTO: Director to Review
Shift times: M-F cases start at 730am, end at 8pm. Expected 8-hour workday within this time
Schedule cycle: 6 weeks schedule period August 24-Oct 9 coming out
