Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting to join our Respiratory Step Down Unit. This unit focuses on respiratory and vent-dependent patient care.

Work Environment:

Primary patient population consists of respiratory-focused, vent-dependent patients.
Nurses will float to similar units such as the Respiratory Care Unit and Chronic Care Units. During a 12-hour shift, assignments may vary between different units.
This position requires every other weekend availability.

Patient Care Responsibilities Include:

IV starts, Drips, and EKGs
Administering blood products and med titrations
Glucose monitoring and wound vac changes
Wound care, including both complex and simple dressings
Trach care, suctioning, and catheterizations (straight cath and Foley care)
Port access and central line dressing changes
Wound measurements
