Critical Care RN (ECMO ICU) – Travel Only
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Hours: 36/week
Shifts: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Pay: Competitive Travel Package Available
Role Overview
Join the ICU team at UMMC East Bank providing highly specialized critical care for ECMO patients. This role requires advanced knowledge of ECMO therapy, CRRT, mechanical circulatory support devices, and post-cardiac surgery recovery while collaborating closely with physicians, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary critical care team.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience caring for ECMO patients
- Trained in CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- Trained in Phase One Cardiac Surgery Recovery
- Trained in Targeted Temperature Management
- Working knowledge of ECMO circuits, pumps, flow adjustments, sweep flow, FiO2, and anticoagulation therapy
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and VAD support devices
- Ability to manage up to three ECMO circuits simultaneously
- Acute care and critical care nursing experience required
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
