Travel RN – Med/Surg
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Shift: Nights – 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Unit: MS
Patient Population: Adults
Beds: 64
Floating: Required
EMR: EPIC
Local Candidates: Accepted – local rate applies for candidates living less than 75 miles
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with Stroke Stepdown experience for a night-shift travel assignment. Candidates must have at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience with stroke/stepdown experience and prior travel nursing experience is required.
The RN will care for adult patients with a wide range of medical and neurological conditions, including stroke, altered mental status, renal and pulmonary conditions, and complex medical-surgical diagnoses.
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- NIHSS
- NIH certification required for the unit and may be obtained prior to start
Submission Requirements
- Updated resume showing 2+ years of Med/Surg experience with Stroke Stepdown experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- Specialty-specific skills checklist
- Driver’s license with address matching candidate demographics
- Active NY RN license
- All active RN licenses verified through Nursys
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS
- NIH certification required before/at start as applicable
- EPIC experience
RTO must be included at the time of submission
