Pharmacist – Job Description

Description

Responsible for verifying and dispensing medication orders, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information, identifying and resolving potential medication safety concerns, documenting clinical interactions for medical review, and supervising/directing pharmacy support personnel.

Department: Retail Pharmacy
Retail Pharmacy Experience: Required
BLS Certification: Required

Education & Work Experience

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy: Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD): Preferred
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience: Preferred
Inpatient Clinical Pharmacy Experience: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Current Pharmacist License in the state of practice: Required
All state-level licenses and certifications required to perform Pharmacist duties: Required

Facility-Specific Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or equivalent: Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent: Required
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or equivalent: Required
