Description
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Must have experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D
- Must be willing to work in all areas of LDRP
- No RTO during the first 2 weeks of the contract
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
Certifications
Required:
- ACLS – AHA
- BLS – AHA
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
Preferred:
- AWHONN Advanced
Skills
Required:
- OR Circulate
- FHM Triage
Preferred:
- Scrub
Schedule & Staffing
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Float: May float within the house as a sitter when needed. May also float to Bronson Methodist Kalamazoo (27 miles) when the need exists and census allows.
- EMR: EPIC
Unit Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit
- 3 triage bays
- 2 operating rooms
- RNs provide care for:
- Antepartum
- Labor & Delivery
- OR circulating
- Scrub nurse
- Newborn nurse at delivery
- Couplet care
- RNs perform newborn lab draws and hearing screens
- Nurses will be trained to perform newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
- Scrubs provided
