Description
Travel RN Case Manager
Location: Torrance, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Days, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Contract: Travel
Patient Ratio: 1:20
Weekend: Every other weekend + holidays
Floating: None
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care Case Management/Discharge Planning experience
- Active California RN license required; pending license accepted if active by start date
- First-time travelers accepted with screening
- Strong experience with care coordination and discharge planning
- Experience with Utilization Review and Medical Necessity preferred
- InterQual experience preferred
- Maximum 7 days RTO
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient care throughout the hospital stay
- Perform case management, utilization review, and discharge planning
- Assess patient needs and coordinate post-acute services/DME
- Determine medical necessity and appropriate level of care
- Coordinate with physicians, insurance companies, patients, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with prior authorizations, appeals/denials, and care transitions
- Maintain compliance with CMS and HIPAA requirements
