HIGHLIGHTS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program - Education verification required
• ARRT registered in Radiography
• ARRT registered in CT
• WI-DSPS radiographer license
• AHA Provider BLS/CPR required
• Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice
• Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership,
  completes projects, advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as
  requested
• Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities
• Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is
  documented and available for use by the radiologist
• Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired
  results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
• Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and
  accessories to successfully perform procedures
• Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting
  patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary
• Practices aseptic technique as necessary
• Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures
  performed; starts and maintains intravenous access
• Initiates basic life support action when necessary
• Provides patient education
• Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of
  inventory and supplies for assigned area
• Provides practical instruction for students and partners
• Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient
  identifiers
