- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN License
- BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA)
- Endoscopy pre/post experience required
- Conscious sedation experience required
- Advanced GI experience preferred
Unit Details
- Endo GI Unit
- 10 procedure rooms (8 outpatient, 2 inpatient)
- Approximately 30 cases per day
- Cerner charting
- Trauma Level II facility
- No floating required
Common Procedures
- EGD
- Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- EUS
- Dilations
- Food impactions
Call Requirements
- No routine weeknight call for nurses
- Weekend and holiday call rotation for nurses experienced with conscious sedation and advanced GI cases
- Call response time: 45-60 minutes
- Call rotation approximately every 8-9 weeks
Additional Information
- Facility provides scrubs
- Unit-specific orientation
- Facility may cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week contract
