Description

  • Floating: Travelers are required to float as needed.
  • Local Rule: 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted.
  • Minimum experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.
  • References: please remove all references.
  • Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria.
  • A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:
  • Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher
  • Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher
  • Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.)

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Must have at least 2 years of total NICU III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year of Level IV NICU.
  • Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents management, various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
  • BLS, NRP REQUIRED (AHA only)
