Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/CRT – Travel Contract |Baltimore, MD
Location: Baltimore, MD
Facility: Short-Term Acute Care / Teaching Hospital
Charting: Cerner
Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours
Weekend: Every Other Weekend
Call: No On-Call Requirement
Float: Adult Critical Care ↔ NICU
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Position Overview
Prime Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/CRT for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Adult Critical Care and NICU and be comfortable floating between adult and neonatal patient populations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RRT/CRT experience — required
- 2 years of Adult Critical Care and NICU experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment — required
- BLS — required
- CRT — required
- Active Maryland State License — required
- RRT certification — preferred
- ACLS — preferred
- NRP/PALS — preferred
- ED experience — preferred
- Cerner experience — required
Clinical Skills & Responsibilities
- Airway management and suctioning
- Endotracheal tube management and suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal and oral airway placement
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- ABG drawing, analysis, and interpretation
- Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
- Troubleshooting high-pressure ventilator alarms
- BiPAP / CPAP
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Aerosol treatments and nebulizer therapy
- Assist with high-risk deliveries
- Umbilical blood gases
- Adult critical care and NICU respiratory care
Medication Experience
Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic Epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex.
Preferred: Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (iNO), Theophylline.

- Flu Vaccine: Required for all employees
Important
The traveler must be comfortable floating between Adult Critical Care and NICU and must be comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs.
Required ventilator experience: Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U.
