ICU Float RN – Medical ICU / Neuro Critical Care
Position: ICU Float RN
Unit: Medical ICU / Neuro Critical Care
Beds: 32
Contract: 48-hour contracts available
Position Overview
Seeking strong, experienced ICU nurses to join our Medical Intensive Care & Neuro Critical Care team. This is a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients across two floors, with strong staffing support.
Float Requirements
- Float between Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC as needed
- Must be comfortable caring for high-acuity ICU patients
- 48-hour contracts will be accommodated
Patient Population / Cases
- Sepsis
- ESRD & AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH
- Post-cardiac arrest care
- Respiratory failure
- Neuro Critical Care patients
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio
- 1:2 standard ratio
- 1:1 for patients requiring higher acuity care
Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of Level I ICU experience preferred
- Otherwise, 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- Strong MICU experience highly preferred
- Experienced ICU nurses with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- New-grad nurses with only 1 year of experience may not meet the unit's experience expectations
Required Certifications
- BLS – American Heart Association
- ACLS – American Heart Association
- NIHSS
