Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated ED RN in San Diego, CA with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, document, and update individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and clinical status.
- Administer and titrate medications, IV therapies, and emergency medications; monitor and document patient responses.
- Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and support
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, EKG machines, and other emergency equipment; initiate lifesaving interventions during emergencies.
- Obtain patient and family histories, assess educational needs, and provide instruction regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and discharge care.
- Review laboratory results and medical records, communicate significant patient information to physicians and the clinical care team, and ensure accurate documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN License – Any state license accepted
- Minimum 1 year direct patient care in ED in the past 3 years
- BLS – American Heart Association
- ACLS – American Heart Association
