You'll perform a variety of general and vascular ultrasound examinations, collaborate closely with physicians and Radiologists, and play an important role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging.


What You'll Do

  • Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations according to provider orders and established protocols.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment appropriately.
  • Obtain and submit high-quality diagnostic images and relevant clinical information for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality and make appropriate adjustments to ensure optimal diagnostic results.
  • Educate, position, and safely assist patients throughout examinations.
  • Safely perform patient transfers and assist with the examination process as needed.
  • Coordinate examinations to support timely, efficient, and continuous patient care.
  • Follow imaging orders accurately and communicate effectively with providers and Radiologists.
  • Maintain appropriate supplies and complete required charging/documentation.
  • Follow sterile technique, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
  • Successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.


🔎 Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound/Sonography experience.
  • Strong experience with General Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound.
  • Experience must include general and vascular studies; ABI and segmental pressure testing are not required.
  • No Echo or Breast Ultrasound experience is required for this position.
  • Strong patient-care, communication, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing computer-based applications and Microsoft Office tools.


🎓 Education & Credentials

  • Associate's Degree required.
  • ARDMS Registry required.
  • BLS – American Heart Association required.
  • Active credentials must be maintained throughout the assignment.
