Cath Lab RN

Position: RN – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Gulfport, Mississippi
Shift: Days – 10-hour shifts
Hours: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Date: 9/7/2026
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week
Call: Required
Weekend: As needed based on call schedule
Floating: None
 

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist with Coronary Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Assess and monitor vital signs and cardiac status.
• Administer medications and assist with procedural sedation as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain patients for invasive cardiac procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and other Cath Lab staff.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Strong Coronary Cath Lab experience required.
• Strong EP (Electrophysiology) experience required.
• Active Mississippi RN license required.
• New graduates not accepted.
• RCIS certification preferred.
• Must be available for required call coverage.

Call Requirements

• Approximately 1 weekday of call per week.
• Approximately 1 weekend of call per month.
• Call frequency may vary based on staffing needs, vacations, or sick calls.
• 1 major and 1 minor holiday requirement.
