Shift: 10H Days Monday-Friday 0700-1730 +call Description: 

Unit Notes:Unit"Cath Lab, EP and IR - RN- # suites/labs: 3 Rooms and a hybrid OR - #cases per day on average: 15-20 Cases can vary greatly by day- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS) RN: BLS ACLS- Through AHA - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variety of cases in multiple areas. cardiac/interventional cardiology (diagnostic heart caths, PCIs/cardiac interventions, device implants, etc.) interventional radiology (ports, feeding tubes, dialysis catheters, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, vertebroplasties, etc.) vascular (AAA/ELG endovascular repairs, TCAR, carotid angiogram/stenting, peripheral diagnostic and interventions, etc.) structural heart (TAVR, mitraclip, left atrial appendage closures, PFO closures, alcohol ablations, balloon aortic valvuloplasty, etc.) electrophysiology (cardiac ablations, device implants)- Job Duties: RN: circulate cases including administering medications/sedation, monitoring patient through procedures (and monitor or scrub if trained to do so)- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prefer at least 2-3 years of experience in both IR and cath lab for both techs and RNs, as well as vasacular and/or structural heart experience, but during the interview we can talk to them about their experience and see if it is something that we can work with if they do not have experience in all of those areas. Experience with our charting systems and equipment is preferable, but again can be on a case to case basis upon interviewing them- EMR/Equipment: EMR: Cerner- Hemodynamic charting system: Merge- Room Equipment: x-ray/table is Phillips in all rooms. Ultrasound (both regular and cardiac) Various equipment used for cases such as impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, CSI, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, C02 for angiography, etc. Cardiologist hours/on call"24/7 call coverage with interventional cardiologist and interventional radiologist and a 1 cath lab team Regular cath lab hours: Monday-Friday 0700-1730 and then a call team takes over from 1730- 0700 the next morning.- Manager/Charge Nurse: 1 cath lab interim manager and 1 charge nurse per day on regular Monday-Friday shifts- Cath Lab Techs: Yes- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling Block scheduling): 4 10 hour shifts a week (Monday-Friday with 1 weekday off) 3-4 person teams per room depending on staffing and type of case. 4 person teams for call teams- Weeknight/Call Requirements: Typically, 7-10 days of call per month from 1730-0700 (includes your 1 weekend a month of 3 days) average of 1-2 weeknight call shifts per week- Weekend/Call Requirements: 1 weekend per month (Friday at 1730 Monday at 0700)- Holiday/Call Requirements: Typically, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year) may be a couple day stretch or call or over a weekend for your holiday commitment- What is call response time: 30 minutes - Floating Requirements: Typically, the cath lab staff do not float to other departments. However, floating is possible (likely as a team nurse or to be helping hands) if hospital census, critical staffing, etc. warrants it.- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital provides scrubs for use while in the cath lab (wear street clothing in to work, change into our scrubs, and then change back before going home)- Unit/Department specific orientationRNs: 1 day of hospital orientation followed by 2 days of - department specific orientation. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required: License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division: Shift Notes:Monday-Friday 0700-1730 +call Required Certifications:ACLS, BLS Certification Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
