Nights, 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
BLS certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
EFM competency
Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 or more years preferred
Experience in L&D, postpartum, and level 2 nursery

Unit Details

Obstetrics unit with antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and level 2 nursery patients
Traveler may also work antepartum and postpartum
No scrub or circulate duties for C-sections
7 beds with 1 overflow room
Uses AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity
May float to other departments during COVID surge
Rotation with permanent staff

Orientation

2 to 3 days of orientation
On-unit learning
Orientation includes 12-hour shifts

Additional Notes

Drug screen required
Time off requests must be known before the contract is established
Scrubs are provided
