CT Technologist
Shift: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Shift Hours: 1:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Schedule: Thursday through Wednesday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The CT Technologist will perform high-quality computed tomography examinations for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients. The technologist will work independently while collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely diagnostic imaging.
Schedule
The 7-on/7-off schedule runs Thursday through Wednesday:
- Thursday: 1:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Friday: 1:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Saturday: 1:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Sunday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Monday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Tuesday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Perform CT procedures involving the head/neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.
- Perform CT angiography (CTA), drainage procedures, biopsies, and brain perfusion studies.
- Administer contrast using power injection systems while following established safety protocols.
- Verify patient information, medical history, allergies, and appropriate imaging orders before procedures.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Maintain radiation safety and follow department and regulatory standards.
- Review images for technical quality and ensure appropriate images are available for radiologist interpretation.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain equipment and follow required quality-control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required; candidates with only 1 year of experience will not be accepted.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Strong experience with CT procedures and contrast administration required.
Technology and Equipment
- EMR: Cerner
- PACS: Philips Enterprise
- CT Scanner: GE Optima 660, 64-slice
- Contrast: Power injection system
Orientation
- 1–2 shifts of orientation.
Scheduling and Call
- 7 days on / 7 days off.
- Weekend rotation is incorporated into the 7-on/7-off schedule.
- No on-call requirement.
Holiday Requirements
Holiday participation follows facility policy. Travelers may be scheduled for one major and one minor seasonal holiday. Specific holidays are not automatically guaranteed off prior to arrival.
Time-Off Requests
Time-off requests must be submitted for facility approval. Requests should be emailed for approval. Time off is not guaranteed until formally approved.
