Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Hospital

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital contract in South Hill, Virginia. This role is a strong fit for a PT with acute care experience who is comfortable working with medically complex patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and reassessments in the acute care setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Treat medically complex patients with mobility, strength, balance, transfer, and functional limitations.
• Provide gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and discharge planning support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, OT, SLP, case management, and the broader hospital team.
• Complete timely documentation in EPIC EMR.

Requirements

• Acute care PT experience required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Active Virginia PT license required.
• BLS required.
• Locals accepted at the same rate.
