Speech-Language Pathologist

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The SLP works as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team while maintaining compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, certification standards, and accreditation guidelines.

Schedule

• Shift: Day
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Weekend Coverage: Occasional weekend shifts may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide therapeutic services for patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessments.
• Provide diagnostic and consultative services in accordance with professional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, certification standards, and facility policies.
• Support safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the treatment process.

Education & Experience

• Master's Degree or foreign equivalent – Required
• 2 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience – Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice – Required
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy – Required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) – Preferred

Facility-Specific Requirement

• BLS certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy – Required
