Job Details

Job Title: Pharmacist (AHCL)
Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process medication orders accurately.
• Manage drug protocols such as TPN, pharmacokinetic dosing, and heparin.
• Identify and communicate medication errors, irregularities, allergies, and drug interactions.
• Monitor medication therapy for safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and controlled substance documentation.
• Monitor therapeutic/toxic drug levels and medication appropriateness.
• Provide clinical drug information and support to physicians and nursing staff.
• Ensure expired or ineffective medications are removed from inventory.
• Supervise pharmacy support staff with IV admixtures, medication dispensing, and compounding.
• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, competencies, and continuing education.
• Follow AH, TJC, CMS, and other regulatory requirements.
