🩺 Position Overview

The Intermediate Care RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and a higher level of clinical attention than traditional acute-care patients.

You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, providing treatments and therapies, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.


👩‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuously monitor patient status.
  • Collect and evaluate health data and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide nursing treatments, therapies, and interventions within scope of practice.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment and therapy plans.
  • Provide patient and family education, health teaching, and counseling.
  • Execute delegated medical functions appropriately.
  • Recognize when patients require additional evaluation or treatment and facilitate referrals.
  • Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team members.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Utilize available clinical resources to support patient needs.
  • Float to other departments within competency and qualifications when required.
  • Follow professional nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.


🎓 Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Registered Nurse experience
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • ASN/Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Active RN license – Single State or Compact
  • BLS – American Heart Association
  • ACLS – American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and critical-thinking skills

    • Telemetry
