- Shift Details: Mids / Day shift 8s or 10s (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Surgical care knowledge, robotics, and strong IV skills (a must). Scrubbing required; RNs handle pre-op care as well.
- License & Certifications: Required active certification: BLS. Any licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
- Radius & Distance Rules: Strict 50-mile radius rule—all submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license.
Clinical & Unit Overview
- Unit Details: 15 surgical suites averaging 55–70 cases per day, covering all procedures including same-day and overnight stays.
- Charting System: Currently using Sunrise, with an Epic go-live scheduled.
- Floating Requirements: Float to the OR holding area as needed.
Scheduling & Call Requirements
- Call Expectations: 1–2 "second calls" per schedule (a month), consisting of a 24-hour call day on the weekend (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM). Rotating weekend requirement (8-hour shift 7-3 on Sat/Sun or 24-hour call on Sat/Sun).
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
