Description
Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN — Swedish First Hill, Seattle, WA
Assignment Details
- Shift: Nights, 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekends: Every other
- No on-call required
- Start: ASAP
- Charting: Epic (required)
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
Role Overview
- Supports ground transportation for infants and pediatric patients, bringing them from surrounding hospitals, ERs, L&D, and NICUs to Swedish First Hill for a higher level of care
- Works as part of a transport team alongside RT and an advanced practice provider
- Ground transportation experience required
- May float to cover as a bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or Peds units
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
Key Clinical Skills
- Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, care of ventilated patients, airway maintenance
- Arterial line management, central line blood draw, ABG interpretation
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, anti-seizure medications, IV vasopressors
- Hypothermia protocol/hyperthermia management, continuous sedation
- NICU and PICU transport experience, pediatric dosage calculations
- Chest tube management, NG tube insertion, tracheostomy care, ETT/NT suctioning
