Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Cottage Hospital – Woodsville, NH
Compensation & Incentives
- $32–$49/hour, based on experience
- $32/hour starting rate for a new RRT
- Top of the range is based on approximately 20 years of experience
- $8,000 sign-on/retention bonus
Schedule
- Flexibility to consider 10- or 12-hour shifts
- On-call coverage is required after scheduled shifts
- On-call hours are paid at $5/hour
On-Call Call-Back Pay
- If an issue can be resolved by phone while on call, the employee receives a minimum of 1 hour of pay, even if the call only takes 10 minutes.
- If the RRT is called into the hospital, they receive a minimum of 2 hours of pay.
Department
This is a smaller Respiratory Therapy department with one full-time RRT and a part-time RRT who assists with coverage (part time role is filled). It can be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller community hospital environment and having a meaningful impact without the volume of a large medical center.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Administer oxygen, aerosol, and medication therapies
- Provide critical care respiratory therapy
- Perform ventilator and airway management
- Conduct pulmonary function testing, oximetry, and arterial sampling
- Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory status
- Maintain respiratory equipment and an organized clinical environment
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team
- Participate in required on-call coverage
