Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Location

• Bridgeport, West Virginia

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekends as scheduled

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited School of Respiratory Care with an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy
• CPR certification
• Registered by ABSM, NBRC, or BRPT as one of the following: RST, RPSGT, or RRT-SDS
• 1 year of sleep study scoring experience
• Unexpired driver’s license must be included with submission
• Background hits must be disclosed at time of submission

Key Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnograms, C-PAP titration studies, and multiple sleep latency testing
• Complete pre- and post-testing equipment checks and calibrations
• Obtain required patient consents and complete sleep-related questionnaires and registration
• Document patient history, clinical notes, event logs, and test results
• Recognize sleep states, sleep efficiency, central apneas, and obstructive apneas with snoring

Work Environment

• May involve exposure to blood and body fluids, infectious diseases, and mechanical or electrical hazards
• Work area may be cramped and may include machinery vibrations
