Description

Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (CLS/MT)

Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Schedule: Thursday – Monday
Days Off: Tuesday & Wednesday

Job Responsibilities

Collect, process, and receive blood, urine, fecal, and body-fluid specimens.
Perform clinical laboratory testing for patients of all age groups.
Perform complex laboratory procedures and troubleshoot unexpected results.
Analyze Quality Control (QC) data and take appropriate corrective action.
Monitor laboratory instruments, indicators, and temperature records.
Answer questions regarding test results, testing methods, sensitivity, and specificity.
Participate in evaluating new laboratory techniques, procedures, equipment, and processes.
Develop and revise technical procedures as needed.
Maintain competency in all required laboratory skills.
Support laboratory quality, safety, and operational initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Associate’s degree accepted for grandfathered personnel.
CLS or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required.
New MT graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
Strong laboratory knowledge, problem-solving, and quality-control skills required.
