Registered Nurse – Immunization Program
Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Assignment Period: August 29, 2026 – November 30, 2026
Location: Oceanside, CA 92056
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week / 8 hours per day
Work Setting: Onsite, Patient-Facing

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to support an in-store immunization program. The RN will be responsible for safely administering a variety of vaccinations, including influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other approved vaccines, while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines safely and accurately in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Provide immunizations including influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other approved vaccines.
- Perform appropriate patient screening and assessment prior to vaccination.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding vaccines, potential reactions, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vaccinations and patient information.
- Follow medication administration, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
- Monitor patients for potential adverse reactions and respond appropriately when needed.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate approach when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
- Adapt to changing patient volumes, schedules, and community healthcare needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility with work hours and operational requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team environment characterized by professionalism, compassion, energy, and accountability.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow established infection-prevention procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are provided.
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong clinical skills, particularly medication administration and vaccination practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to administer multiple types of vaccines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.
- Must be flexible with work hours and scheduling.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail health, community health, ambulatory care, occupational health, or vaccination clinics.
- Experience administering seasonal and routine immunizations.
- Strong patient education and customer-service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume healthcare environment.
Work Environment
- In-person, patient-facing position.
- Onsite work required as needed.
- PPE will be provided.
- Sunday–Saturday scheduling with a standard schedule of 10:00 AM–7:00 PM.
- Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
