Job Description

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN who demonstrates strong knowledge of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulatory requirements, and emergency care processes. The RN will provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care while working independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments and documentation.
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and wound/dressing care.
• Provide effective patient and family education.
• Safely manage telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, ventilators, and medication administration.
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient condition.
• Follow established patient safety practices and report errors, incidents, and near misses.
• Serve as a patient advocate and maintain professional standards.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
• Accept constructive feedback and take initiative with appropriate follow-up.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• PALS
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour night shifts
• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
