Travel Echo Sonographer – Days

Location: New Mexico
Start: ASAP
Contract: Travel Assignment
Schedule: 4x10s
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Echo Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac imaging and be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements

A.R.D.M.S. / CCI registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation
New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
BLS through American Heart Association
2 years of active echocardiography experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Two-year allied health education program preferred

Key Responsibilities

Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams
Assist cardiologists with exam preparation, measurements, and relevant clinical information
Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the physician or nurse
Maintain accurate patient and exam records
Ensure equipment quality control and coordinate repairs as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
Participate in departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities
Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed
Participate in on-call coverage for emergency Echo exams as required by department policy

Able to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Comfortable working at a rapid pace under stressful conditions
Strong manual dexterity and technical proficiency in echocardiography
