Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- 2+ years recent Labor & Delivery experience with postpartum/Mother-Baby experience
- Must be comfortable working both L&D and postpartum during the assignment
- Sterile vaginal exam experience required
- Strong fetal monitoring skills: external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement/calibration, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience with Pitocin/oxytocin administration and managing patients receiving epidural anesthesia
- BLS and NRP required; job also lists AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced and FHM among certifications
- Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum, postpartum, and LDRP/Mother-Baby care
- Unit includes 13 L&D beds, 5 triage rooms, 2 ORs, and 27 postpartum rooms and cares for pregnancies >28 weeks gestation in partnership with a children's hospital
- Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, every other weekend; no block scheduling
