Position Overview

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients presenting with a wide variety of urgent and emergent medical conditions. The RN will utilize strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to triage patients, coordinate care, and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Triage patients effectively and recognize life-threatening conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Adhere to emergency department policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Emergency Department experience required
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume emergency setting
