TRAVEL RN OPPORTUNITY – MED/SURG

Overlook Medical Center – Summit, NJ

Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Location: 99 Beauvoir Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901
Contract: 8 Weeks
Schedule: 3×12 Nights
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Openings: 1

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Current NJ RN license or compact state license required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• English proficiency required
• Travel nursing experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Med/Surg RN will be responsible for:

• Comprehensive patient assessments
• Providing appropriate nursing care across pediatric through geriatric populations
• Performing clinical skills and emergency procedures
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation
• Patient education and discharge teaching
• Pre-operative and post-operative assessments
• Surgical patient care
• Patient safety and infection control
• Safe patient transfers and proper body mechanics
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Prioritizing patient care based on changing conditions
• Supporting Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) activities when applicable
