Position Summary 13-week travel contract for a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include providing routine and complex patient care, making appropriate assignments, delegating tasks, and charting via EPIC. Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6, with mandatory floating to all Med/Surg departments under Maya Sandoval.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred (BSN preferred)
  • Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state license required at submission
  • Required Certifications: AHA BLS certification
  • Scheduling & Compliance: Weekend and on-call requirement of 2 to 4 rotated shifts per month; blocked scheduling is not accommodated; grey scrubs required

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
