Description

Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient Geriatrics / Assisted Living

Round Rock, Texas

Setting: Outpatient Geriatrics within Assisted Living Facilities (ALF)
Profession: Physical Therapist (PT)
Care Model: 1:1 Patient Care
Schedule: Full-Time
Coverage: Round Rock + float to ALFs in Cedar Park & Leander
Contract: Travel Assignment

PT Opportunity – Round Rock, TX

Ardor Health Solutions is seeking a Physical Therapist for a unique outpatient geriatric travel assignment in Round Rock, Texas, just north of Austin.

This position provides 1:1 outpatient therapy to geriatric patients within Assisted Living Facilities, allowing you to focus on individualized care without the traditional high-volume outpatient clinic environment.

You'll primarily work in Round Rock while also floating to two additional ALFs in Cedar Park and Leander, all located in the north Austin metro area.

Position Highlights

  • Outpatient therapy within Assisted Living Facilities
  • 1:1 patient-care model
  • Geriatric patient population
  • Primary location in Round Rock
  • Float to Cedar Park & Leander
  • All three locations within the north Austin metro
  • Individualized treatment sessions
  • PT evaluations and plans of care
  • Gait and balance training
  • Strengthening and fall prevention
  • Functional mobility and transfer training
  • Focus on maintaining independence and quality of life
  • Great fit for a PT who enjoys geriatrics but prefers an outpatient-style treatment model

What You'll Do

You'll evaluate and treat geriatric patients within their Assisted Living communities, developing individualized plans of care focused on mobility, strength, balance, safety, fall prevention, and maintaining independence.

Because this is a 1:1 care model, you'll have dedicated treatment time with each patient rather than routinely juggling multiple patients simultaneously.

You'll primarily work in Round Rock while floating between the Cedar Park and Leander ALFs based on coverage and caseload needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current Texas PT license or Compact privilege
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong evaluation and treatment skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable floating between three area facilities
  • Geriatric, outpatient, ALF, SNF, or senior-living experience preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Why Round Rock, TX?

Round Rock is part of the greater Austin metro, giving you access to Austin without necessarily having to live or work directly downtown.

Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Leander are all in the northern Austin suburbs, making the float requirement much more manageable than covering facilities scattered across a large region.

Outside of work, you'll have easy access to Austin's restaurants, live music, nightlife, outdoor recreation, lakes, and entertainment, while the northern suburbs offer plenty of housing, shopping, and amenities of their own.

About

Ardor Health Solutions formed in 2001 and remains a privately held medical staffing business owned and operated by the same family. Over the years we have expanded our staffing and recruiting capabilities to include therapy services, nursing services, and all allied services.

If you would like the personal service that comes with a staff of recruiters that have an average tenure with the company between 5 and 15 years, and the knowledge of our client services representatives with similar experience, there is no need to look any further.

At Ardor Health Solutions you can expect better than average pay packages, extraordinary benefits, and the peace of mind that you will not be forgotten once you start your assignment. Perhaps that is why so many of our caregivers have completed more than a dozen different assignments with us over our long history.

Ardor Health is pleased to offer a free medical insurance plan in addition to major medical plans. Please contact a recruiter for more details on the free medical plan and/or any other general inquiries.

One final fact about Ardor Health Solutions. We have been paying our caregivers weekly since 2001, and we have never, ever, missed a payroll. If you are currently on an assignment with us, thank you. If you have traveled with us before, we would like to welcome you back. If you have never traveled with us, give us a try. You will not be disappointed.
