Description

POSITION: CVOR RN

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
===============================
• Shift: 6:30a–5:00p and 9:00a–7:30p, alternating throughout the schedule for both staff and travelers.

• Years of Experience: 1 year recent CVOR experience required

• Weekend Requirement: Refer to On Call

• On Call Requirement: Yes (2) 48-hour weekends and (14) weekday shifts in 6 weeks. Weeknight call is M-F 7p to 7a; Weekend call starts at 7a on Saturday and goes until 7a Monday.

• Charting: Cerner (PowerChart/SurgiNet) experience required

• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: All requests must be included at the time of submission. Requests made afterward may not be approved.

• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

• Locals Accepted: Yes: Locals Accepted at same rate


REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission

• Required Certifications: Must be included with submission: ACLS, BLS


REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
========================
• Scrub/Circulate: Cardiovascular scrub experience required. Thoracic, Vascular, General, and Robotic surgery scrub experience is a plus.

• Work Settings/Equipment: CVOR; General OR; Hybrid OR, Fiber optic light sources/cord

• Cardiac: Atrial Septal defect repair; Cardiomyoplasty; Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG); Mitral valve replacement; Pericardial window; Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR); Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD); Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery

• Vascular: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair; Aortic Aneurysm repair; Aortocaval fistula repair; Aortoenteric fistula repair; Arteriovenous fistula repair; Arteriovenous malformation surgery; Atherectomy; Carotid angioplasty, artery stenting, and Endarterectomy; Endovascular Aneurysm Repair; Femoral popliteal bypass graft; Renal artery bypass surgery; TEVAR

• Thoracic: Lobe resection; Lung resection (Thoracotomy); Mediastinoscopy; Thoracotomy; Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS)

• General: Appendectomy; Cholecystectomy; Colon resection; Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical; Laparoscopic assisted procedures; Robotics; Infection control


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING
=========================
• Number of OR Rooms: 13

• Scrubs: Hospital provided

• Floating: As needed, travelers are first to float between the Atlantic City and Mainland Campus. The campuses are approximately 12 miles apart (15–20 minute drive).


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
=======================
• Travelers may be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment.

• Orientation is 6 days: Monday–Friday (8-hour days) with a required return the following Monday for Day 6.

ARMC – Mainland Campus is a 323-bed hospital in Galloway and home to AtlantiCare's cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, and advanced heart failure programs. The Heart & Lung Institute performs advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and TAVR.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a southeastern New Jersey health system with two hospital campuses located in Atlantic City and Galloway.
