- Job Title: IMC/PCU/Stepdown - RN (Travel Contract)

- Shift: Nights (13 Weeks, 3x12s, 18:45 - 07:15; 1:5 patient ratios)

Position Summary 13-week travel contract for an IMC/PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse at Saint Luke's North Hospital - Barry Road Campus. Responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry, drips, post-cardiac and neuro stepdown care, rapid response team participation, and charting via Epic EMR. Mandatory floating flexibility required between departments, units, and BJC/Saint Luke's facilities (requires both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license in hand at submission).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience required (previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted)
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand at submission
- Compliance & Submission Rules: Strict 75-mile local radius rule (no local candidates or local travelers accepted); maximum 7 days RTO finalized at submission; 18-month tenure policy with a 3-month break in service; permanent BJC/Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
