Job Description:

Position: Dietitian

Location: Staten Island, New York

Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 8:30am-4:30pm
• Day shifts
• 37.5 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 4 weeks

Travel Pay Package:

• $3,024 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling
• Perform nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Provide nutrition support and dietary education to patients and families
• Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Cover all hospital units throughout the facility
• Complete approximately 10 patient assessments per day

• Interview scheduling typically occurs via phone call or text after profile review
• Interview feedback is typically very quick
• EPIC charting system
• Liquid Compass timekeeping
• Maroon scrubs required (top and bottom, not provided)
• HealthStream training assigned on day one
• Two facility evaluations completed during the assignment
• File due each Wednesday before start date

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) required
• Active New York State license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Weekend rotation every 4 weeks required
• CNSC preferred
• Strong clinical nutrition and patient assessment experience preferred
