HIGHLIGHTS:

• Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• Required certifications: BLS.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Central Lines, tracheostomies, chest tubes. Prefer candidates who have EPIC experience and travel
  experience on a MedSurg Floor- IF they have experience in a level I trauma center will consider without travel experience as long
  as they have EPIC experience.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• # Beds: 56: private and semi-private.
• Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 from 07-2300 & 1:5-6 from 23-0730.
• Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Acute Care Gen-Med: cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, syncope,
  anemia, uncontrolled diabetes, acute resp failure, liver failure, kidney failure, behavioral health & addictions.
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Lasix
• PCTs assist with vital signs, accucheks, bladder scans and
  ADLS. Ratio 1:8-10.
• Bipap / Cpap for sleep apnea, administer inhalers, suctioning.
• House wide telemetry is monitored remotely, RN can view strip on pack or computer. Phillips monitors.
• Shifts & Scheduling: 3-12s 7-7:30,
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Sat/Sun for days & Fri/Sat for nights.
• Holiday Requirement: Varies
• Floating Requirements: Rotation any other acute care gen med area (nephrology, neuro, ortho, oncology).
• Any color professional scrubs. No visible tattoos, no visible piercings except ears.
• Unit/Department specific orientation: 2-3 shifts

• OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
• Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation
