Position Overview

An acute-care hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts is seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses – Operating Room for an upcoming assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an OR RN who enjoys a consistent daytime schedule and is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The selected RN will provide perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative experience
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and complete pre-operative assessments
• Verify surgical consent, patient identification, procedure, and site according to established safety protocols
• Assist with positioning, preparation, and other pre-operative activities
• Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other OR staff
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide appropriate equipment, supplies, and medications
• Complete accurate perioperative documentation
• Follow infection-control, surgical safety, and hospital policies
• Provide appropriate post-operative care and handoff communication

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license appropriate for the assignment
• Recent Operating Room / Perioperative RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to provide holiday coverage

Schedule & Orientation

• Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 4 shifts per week
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Orientation options: September 22 or October 13, 2026
• Assignment ends January 2, 2027
• No interview required
